2026-27 Eagle Update

Indian Hills Elementary

A skydiver descends over a silhouetted forest under a retro sunset with text 'HAPPY FRIDAY EVE EVERYONE'.
Happy Friday Eve!

What a wonderful first week of school! We have loved getting to know new students and seeing students we know from previous years in new situations. THIS IS GOING TO BE A GREAT YEAR!

Reminder: School will dismiss at 1:30 tomorrow. Unfortunately, buses will not pick students up at 1:30 tomorrow. If at all possible, please plan an alternative way for your student to get home. For students who must ride the bus, we will provide staff supervision from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Also, get your Indian Hills merch - PTO store open until August 30th: https://indianhillspto.com/

Busses Late Tomorrow

On Friday, August 21 and on Friday, August 28, our school day will end at 1:30 p.m.
  • Please note that our school buses will not be able to pick students up at our 1:30 p.m. dismissal time.
  • If your child normally rides the bus, please arrange for an alternative way home at 1:30 p.m., if at all possible.

We understand that this may not be possible for every family. For students who must ride the school bus, we will open the gym and provide staff supervision from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Students will then board their regular buses upon arrival at approximately 2:30 p.m.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your flexibility as we make sure every student is safely supervised.

Walking or Rolling to School

  1. Always use the crosswalk
  2. Pay attention to the people and cars around you
  3. If using a bike, scooter, skateboard or other vehicle with wheels - please dismount while on school property
  4. Follow instructions from Safety Patrol and Crossing Guards
  • Do not park in the designated spots for individuals with disabilities if you do not have a handicapped parking designation.

We also have a new disability-only crosswalk.

Please help us teach students that the new crosswalk is not for student use.

We know it is confusing, and we tried to adjust it; in the end, we have 2 crosswalks at the front of the building, and ALL STUDENTS should use only the crosswalks connected to a sidewalk on both sides.
