Welcome back, Eagles!

Last week was full of connections:

  • Donuts with Grown Ups – It was a joy to see our community gathered together to start the day.
  • 1st Grade Program – It truly was “a beautiful day in the neighborhood” as students practiced public speaking, sang their hearts out, and danced with gusto!
  • 2nd Grade Dance Performance – Students moved to the beat as a culmination of their work with Tanner Dance.
  • 6th Grade Tent Day – A beloved Indian Hills tradition where students gathered on the playground to read, relax, and enjoy time together.

This week, we wrap up our after-school Coding & Robotics Club with Battle Bots! Thank you to all who made this such a meaningful experience for our students.

A special thank you to our phenomenal PTO. So many of the enriching experiences our students enjoy are made possible because of their efforts. If you’re not yet involved, please consider joining:
  • Membership is free
  • There are many ways to contribute your time and talents (both during and outside of the school day)

We are now all in on end-of-level testing. Please help your child be ready each day with a good night’s sleep, breakfast, and on-time arrival.

Let’s finish strong!
Warmly,
Dr. P

It’s official, the Kindergarten classes have begun their alphabet countdown for the school year and I almost can’t believe it. This last week was incredible, specifically our jam-packed Friday (donuts, tent event, 1st grade program, 2nd grade dance performance, and more)!

Here is a look at what we’ll be working on in SEL this week with the lower grades:

Kindergarten – “Wavy Gravy”: Identify and describe how others are feeling.
1st Grade – Emoger #9 “Meet in the Middle””: Define and explain examples of what a conflict is. Review 2 strategies we can use to resolve a conflict
2nd Grade – “What's Your Thing?”: Identify and describe one of our skills to one of our classmates. Explore our skills further by engaging in a conversation about them.

Do you have a child who enjoys mountain biking? The East High Mountain Biking Team is a fantastic way for students to ride with friends, build skills, and be part of a growing community. Over 7,000 students participate in high school mountain biking clubs across the Wasatch Front each season!

Students entering 6th or 7th grade next year are eligible to join as early as this season. If your child is interested, please check out more information here: https://easthighmtb.org/
