About Me

This will be my 19th year of teaching in public education.  Before that I taught in private schools for ten years.  I have been teaching at Indian Hills for seven years.

I got into teaching because I had an amazing second grade teacher.  She helped me go from below average to high above average in reading.  She taught me self-worth, love of learning and to ask questions.  I also had an amazing high school teacher who encouraged all to find the truth and consider what authentic sources are.  He was very funny and made learning real.   I am myself because of amazing teachers that I am grateful to have had.

I went to the University of Utah.  I have my master’s degree plus many classes after that.  I also have an ESL endorsement and a technology endorsement.  I teach adults how to speak English part time at nights.  I also teach alternative high school classes.

I love learning and traveling to see how people are different but still the same.  I have a grown son and a daughter who bring me so much happiness.  I also have a 11 year old grandson who visits quite often.  We constantly read and explore the world.  I love teaching the students at Indian Hills and appreciate the support of the parents and staff.
