FOR 5th/6th GRADE BAND STUDENTS: The following video, Sergei Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf, focuses on the instruments of the orchestra. Pay particularly close attention to the instruments that can be found in band: flute (bird), oboe (duck), clarinet (cat), French horn (wolf), and bassoon (grandfather). The timpani (hunters), also known as kettle drums, can be found in both band and orchestra.
