Hello Indian Hills Families -
It's hard to believe that we are already approaching the middle of May. It has been quite a year and it's hard to believe that we are down to only a few more weeks!
We aren't slowing down yet... and we still have some fun things in the works!
ARTS Night End of Year Celebration - Tuesday May 25th, 5-7:30pm
We are getting excited for this year's ARTS Night End of Year Celebration. There is no better way to celebrate this unique year, than to come together to celebrate our amazing students, raise money and have some fun. All of the money raised at this event benefits BOOT, our Indian Hills non-profit, which provides additional funding for supplemental programs and instruction in Arts, Resources, Technology and Science. There are lots of fun things planned...an art stroll, science demonstrations, photo booth, snack shack, music, games, art activities, jamba juice, papa murphys take and bake pizzas, chalk art, summer science and art kits, and much much more! We have a goal to raise $8000 this year to help us continue providing the wonderful enrichment programs and opportunities that we all love so much at Indian Hills. (Don't worry, there will be plenty of fun free activities as well)
So mark your calendars, invite your neighbors and plan to join us! It's an event for the whole family!
*Please remember that masks are still required in school settings.
ARTS Night Experiences
We are looking for ideas and donations of experiences that students could sign up to participate in, as part of our fundraiser this year. Rather than silent auction baskets/items like we have done in the past, this year we would love for our students to have opportunities to learn new things or participate in something with others outside of school. If you have any ideas of things that you would be able and willing to provide, we would love to hear from you. Ideally these are things that at least 8-10 students (or more) could participate in safely and each spot could be purchased for a set price ($10-20, depending on experience). Some ideas might include: soccer or sports clinic on the back field, guided hike, hosting a pool party, a martial arts clinic, yoga class, a craft or art class, photography class, baking class, a tour of your cool workplace, etc. The possibilities are endless and you get to choose the date and time for your event! If you have an idea or something that you are willing to contribute, please contact Chelsey Murdock, as soon as possible, firstname.lastname@example.org
ARTS Night Volunteers
We can't put on an event like this without lots of help! There is a huge need for parent volunteers both prior to, as well as the night of the event. Please check out the sign-ups if you would like to get involved and are willing to sign up for an hour (or more). We need help with lots of different things.... everything from hanging art, assembling kits to staffing booths during the event.
Indian Hills Highlights Video
Hopefully you have all seen the amazing video that Coach Conrad helped us to put together. It highlights some of the awesome things that make Indian Hills such an amazing neighborhood school and includes some really fun footage of our fantastic students. We'd love to encourage you all to check it out and share it with friends and neighbors and on social media to help us spread the word about enrollment for next year.
If you share the video on your social media, with the reasons you love Indian Hills and tag us (@indianhillsschool), including the hashtag #iheaglepride, you will be entered into a drawing to win a $25 Tutoring Toy or Kings English gift card. If your account is private... DM us a screenshot and we'll pick a winner on Monday May 17th!
Thanks for helping show your Eagle Pride! And huge thanks to Coach Conrad for sharing his incredible talents with us!
We still have Indian Hills yard signs available if you haven't gotten yours yet. Feel free to drop by the front office and grab one. We will also have them available at ARTS Night on the 25th.
